Silver Spray's Refit January 2009

Silver Spray is lifted out of the water once every six months for cleaning, anti-fouling and inspection. This is usually done within 24 hours and we are back fishing.

After 3 and a half years of hard work Silver Spray was due a complete repaint. We had chosen to put her in the shed at Cobbs Quay Poole to be out of the January weather (good call). During the 7 day refit we did a complete repaint from the cabin roof to the antifouling, had the generator out for urgent repairs and had a new water intake welded on for an upgraded livebait system.

I would like to especially mention the following people who made it possible to get it all done in a week:

Laura Sterni from Veneziani in Italy for arranging the paint
Cobbs Quay - for efficient service and very careful driving of the boat hoist
Marine Options - excellent preparation work that got us off to a flying start and supporting us throughout the process
Cobbs Quay Chandlery - just the right level of sarcasm and every nut and bolt we needed
LS Marine - Lance serviced the geni and got it back in with milliseconds to spare
Paul Hathaway and Trevor a.k.a. Leonardo and Michelangello for the excellent paint job
Tony Blades the mobile welder who got it done in some tight corners
Especially my mate Rod who was there every day

I think she is looking like new......

Just out and having her bottom jetwashed
That will fit in without a problem...
S**t thats looking close now.

Half an inch to spare after taking off the anchor light cover and bulb
