Big snake saves the day

With rain all morning and a slight easterly wind fish were not cooperating with our lines at all. On the short period over slack however we managed 10 congers off the same wreck as the day before. Including a 25lber on 12lb class tackle, a 40lber for youngster Nicky and the biggest snake ever seen aboard Silver Spray. Measuring at 7ft 5ins long and about 2ft girth this truely was a beast. Not wanting to kill it we returned her to the deep along with all the other eels.
