Good signs of things to come

With weather conditions perfect Silver Spray and its anglers headed offshore to find a cod or two. The morning was surprisingly slow with a few pollack and bass lost on the surface. We decided to concentrate on the slack and pushed off to a wreck where we had a 4lb 4oz ballan wrasse on the drift, a 17lb blonde ray and half a dozen snakes up to 65lb at anchor. With a little bit of ebb tide flowing we decided to have a few drifts on the cod on the way back through. We arrived just as they came on the feed with 4 fish on the first drift. We finished the day up with 10 cod, which were well earned by the anglers.
Biggest one of the day for Ian Napier at 17lb
