A big tide but some nice whiting for the lads from kerry foods then out for spurdogs, blondes plus a nice small eyed ray, a big pollack and some more whiting....

1st trip to the banks in January

Our first trip to the offshore banks provided 9 rays to 25lb, our first spurdog plus a bonus smoothhound, some whiting to 3lb and a suprise dab. A good start to the year offshore...

Monday 3 January
Forecast was for calm conditions but it was cold and breezy. Some whiting, dogs and pout to start then a wait during the peak of the tide. 4 cod for Richard Prosser 2 of which were returned and just a slack a fine 19lber to finish.

What a good start to 2011! 4 cod to 19lb plus some really nice whiting to 3lb. Plenty of dogs and pouts.
