Wreck fishing 28 April 2009

Some nice quality fish on the wrecks and rips roday with 3 cod in double figures, the best reaching 18lb and a good run of pollack to 14lb.

April 2009 Banks, wrecks and bream

The 2nd half of April and inshore fishing has picked up with some nice bream showing. Banks slowed over the last neaps but still some turbot and even an inshore cod. On the rips some nice pollack on the live eels and the cod start to show. Looks promising for the summer

April Wrecking

Out on the mid channel wrecks the water has cleared and the pollack have arrived in numbers. Live sandeels seem to be really important in achieving excellent catch rates. Good numbers of double figure fish....





A 14lb bull huss caught while congering. 140% of specimen weight.

Easter Banks fishing

The inshore fishing has remained slow probably due to low water temperatures so the bream trips planned for Easter where rescheduled for banks and wrecking. With some good results...

Banks Fishing April 2009

Off to the banks through the fog and some choppy seas. By the time we arrived the weather had bucked up and we had some nice turbot and plaice.....

Wrecking end of march 2009

Off to check out the wrecks to the south of Poole with live sandeels for bait on a big spring tide. A good catch of pollack to 16lb. Congers and a fine bull huss at slack.

Aled Daniels drove all the way from West Wales and was rewarded with 3 pollack to 16lb
