March Wreck Trips

Saturday singles club went wrecking. After a 30 mile trip South West we had some nice pollack on the slack and really expected fireworks as the tide ran then nothing for drift after drift. Strange things fish....
Richard Cutting with a 14lb pollack caught on a silver pirk.

Tom Webb's first wreck pollack - doesn't he look happy!

Kieth Meredith and the lads came down from Bristol for the day and found more than 20 congers up to 40lb.

Spring is the time for big pollack on the distant wrecks and finally the weather calmed down and we travelled 40 miles to find a mixed bag of pollack and congers. The pollack were a little timid but I expect more action with the next set of tides. Anyway a dozen nice fish most over 10lb.James Craft from High Wycombe with a personal best pollack a 16lber

Paul Grommett with a hard fighting 15lb pollack

Rick Pitkethley from Poole with a fine 14lb pollack
